Finally, the 2011 MTV VMA nominees have been revealed, and it looks like Katy Perry takes the title of the most nominated person with nine nods.

MTV VMA

The show kicks off at 9 PM EST on August 28th, but the buzz is already going strong. With a complete list of hopefuls shooting around the web, you really get the sense that this will be a big year.

As can be expected, Pop Music is once again showing it is not just a fad. Many of us were hopeful that it would go away and hide after the N’Sync and Backstreet Boys era, but oh, no. It’s here to stay.

A quick glance at the nominations list gives you all the proof you need; Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, and Beyonce are splattered all over it. You don’t see hardly a mention of any other style of music except in their respective categories.

The only hope I have is that Adele and Cee-Lo are also looking strong. Now those two can sing.

Either way, we are expected some surprises and plenty of insane performances in August, but for now, all we can do is look over the list. Here it is via Huffpost Entertainment:
