It’s hard to believe that it’s been three years since Everybody Loves Raymond left the air. Lucky for us, Ray Romano is headed back to TV, starring in a new show, Men of a Certain Age.
Romano is currently starring in a TNT produced pilot titled Men of a Certain Age. He, along with Everybody Loves Raymond writer-producer Mike Royce, created the pilot.
Premise for the new show will focus on three 40 something men who are going through mid-life crises. It’s been described as a little bit of thirtysomething with a Sideways tone.
The show originally was being developed for HBO, but they decided against the show and Romano began discussions with TNT and moving it there.
Ray will play “Joe”, a neurotic divorced father who at one time hoped he would become a pro golfer and now is the owner of a party store.
Sounds to me like another hit, now if they could get Kevin James in there to play one of Romano’s friends, it would be perfect!
