Marcus Jordan, son of the legendary Michael Jordan, Led Chicago Whitney Young to a 4A state championship Saturday. Marcus, who scored a game high 19 points in the 69-66 victory over Waukegan left his father highly emotional as he applauded with tears in his eyes.
“Crying? I’m not crying. Not for me, anyway.”
Michael replied to one reporter’s question.
Marcus sealed the deal by shooting four for four on his free throw attempts in the last 3 minutes of the game.
Marcus Jordan had this to say about his performance “Awesome, just awesome!”
Marcus James Jordan was born on Christmas eve in 1990. He currently attends Whitney Young High School where he plays basketball.
Jordan already has been subject to a lot of media attention including three games that were broadcast on ESPN. He led his high school basketball team to a state championship victory on March 21, 2009.
He has two siblings, an older brother Jeffrey and younger sister, Jasmine.
