Fantasia Barrino has a new reality series on the way. The American Idol alumni has signed a deal with VH1. See photos and video after the jump.
Fomer American Idol contestant, Fantasia Barrino, will be rolling out her new VH1 realty series in 2010. The unscripted series will chronicle Barrino’s life as an artist in the music biz and her job as a single mother.
“Fantasia has one of the most fascinating stories in show business, from her tough upbringing to her meteoric rise on the national scene thanks to ‘American Idol. Her challenges from fame and her unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life talent who appeals to music lovers around the world,” stated Jeff Olde.
Fantasia’s reality series will be executive produced by Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato and Tom Campbell. VH1 has not yet released the show’s title.
“So many people wanted to work with her on this, but Fantasia is now part of the VH1 family, and we’re so happy to have her,” stated Jeff Olde, the executive vp of original programming at VH1.

I’m happy for Fantasia’s show. I just hope she will be intelligent, an example to inspire others, learn how to dress more like a real lady without being provocative(be an example which her child can be trully proud of, not just for what she can buy her.)
