The Man of Many Voices fell silent today.
Danny Gans died in his sleep early this morning at the age of 52. His name may not of been a familiar name outside of Las Vegas news, but on the Strip he was a Superstar. The self described “musical impressionist,” finished his career with 11 consecutive victories as Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year, and had the world’s biggest freestanding marquee as a testimony to his stature.
In February, Gans relocated from his regularly sold-out Mirage show to Steve Wynn’s Encore. Steve Wynn commented on the tragic death saying:
“Elaine and I and all of us in the company are devastated at the loss of our brilliant, talented and loving friend. One of the most unique human beings and entertainers in the world has been taken from us in an unexpected moment.”
Danny Gans Death is a tragic loss for his wife Julie Gans, family, and the world of Entertainment. He will always be remembered as an incredibly unique entertainer.
