Jacqueline Standley is the mother of Yankee pitcher, Joba Chamberlain. Over the weekend she was arrested for allegedly trying to sell meth to an undercover cop. She is currently jailed in Nebraska and facing a felony charge.
According to reports, Joba Chamberlain’s mother allegedly sold 1 gram of a substance that tested positive for meth at the state laboratory, to an undercover officer for $110 on Feb. 11. She was charged on Monday with the “delivery of an exceptionally hazardous drug,” and her bail was set at $5,000.
Jacqueline Standley isn’t the only one in trouble, just last month Joba was sentenced to nine months probation after pleading guilty to DUI. Standley spoke out about her son’s legal troubles saying,
“I think he’s gonna try harder. He tries now, but I think he’s a pretty focused person.”
Hopefully, she will take her own advice, and Joba can maintain his game face for the rest of this year’s baseball season.
