First lady Michelle Obama is calling her visit to Sesame Street the best thing she has done since being in the White House. Even while addressing the US Mission to the United Nations and thanking the diplomats and staff members for promoting President Obama’s foreign policy of global engagement, Mrs. Obama could not contain her excitement.
“I’m thrilled to be here but I was just at Sesame Street - I’m sorry. And I never thought I’d be on Sesame Street with Elmo and Big Bird, and I was thrilled. I’m still thrilled. I’m on a high. I think it’s probably the best thing I’ve done so far in the White House. But we were there talking about nutrition and healthy eating and it’s just been a thrill.”
The First Lady appeared on the popular children’s television show to record a public service announcement on the importance of good nutrition. The lovable and Elmo and Big Bird also appear in the video, which you can watch below.
