“Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” Season 3 is the third installment of the successful VH1 show where “celebrities” are saved from their addictions, while being put on display for the world to watch. For season 3, the series will document a new assembly of celebrity patients through 21 days of rehab. Drug addiction counselor, Bob Forrest, and resident technician, Shelly Sprague, who helped Dr. Drew take care of the celebrity addicts in the show’s last season are set to return.
Mackenzie Phillips, a 10 time rehab vet, will take on the challenge of “sober coach,” in the third season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. Phillips was caught possessing cocaine in August 2008. Most of the charges against her have been dropped, and when she finishes a drug diversion program the last charge will also be dismissed.
The Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, Season 3 cast, according to TMZ, includes: Mike Starr, Joey Kovar, Dennis Rodman, Mackenzie Phillips, Lisa D’Amato, Heidi Fleiss, Kari Ann Peniche and Mindy McCready.
The series will start filming in late spring, and is looking at premiering sometime in fall 2009.
