Queens, New York Social Studies teacher Melissa Weber is making national news after being arrested for having multiple sexual encounters with a 14 year old student, and then flooding his cell phone with calls and texts. Read more about this naughty teacher sex scandal and see photos and video here.
Not only can they track their phone calls and texts, but authorities also said the victim allegedly kept a calendar documenting each occurrence. Well, at least he’s organized.
The relationship was uncovered after the victim’s mother went to the school because her son had been acting a bit funny, and even skipping class. She reportedly grew suspicious when other parents and even a student clued her in that Melissa Weber and her son may be having some “extracurricular” contact.
After figuring out the teacher’s number, the mother then began looking into the call history on her son’s phone. There she allegedly found hundreds of calls and texts between Weber and her son. To top it all off, one of the last messages the teacher allegedly sent to the victim was “Erase your phone.”
Weber also allegedly warned the boy to keep their relationship a secret, fearing arrest and a possible revocation of her teaching certificate.
According to reports, when Weber was arrested she claimed that the boy made advances on her, and that she tried to stop him. The victim admitted to police that the two had an inappropriate relationship.
The 27 year old teacher is now charged with statutory rape, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child. She could be facing up 17 years in prison if found guilty.
