American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has now confirmed what many people suspected, that he is in fact gay, and that his boyfriend is 24-year-old interior designer, Drake LaBry.
Lambert’s boyfriend, Drake LaBry, had been seen in the audience during many of Adam Lambert’s American Idol performances this season, but the extent of their relationship had remained a mystery until the two were seen this week leaving Hollywood club, Guys and Dolls.
There was rampant speculation about which team the singer was batting for during his amazing near victory this season on American Idol. Some even went so far as to suggest that he lost to Kris Allen simply because of homophobic voters.
That opinion seemed to be verified when his popularity waned slightly after photos were released showing him dressed in drag, kissing a man.
Until the two came out of the club holding hands this week, there were even people who claimed the singer was “in the closet.” Adam would typically decline comment when the subject of his sexuality would arise.
The upcoming edition of Rolling Stone is supposed to feature Lambert on the cover. In the issue, he will reportedly give confirmation that he is actually in love with Drake LaBry, and put all of the rumors to rest.
