Joe Buck and Artie Lange went at each others throats on the debut episode of the Joe Buck Live show. Read about the hilarious incident here.
If you didn’t catch the premier of Joe Buck Live on HBO, chances are that you’ve probably heard about it by now. The end-of-show derailment has caused a lot of internet buzz ever since the show aired on Monday. Comedian Artie Lange bombarded Joe Buck with inappropriate, over-the-top insults, to the point that the show’s online segment called “Overtime” had to be stopped 7 minutes and 41 seconds into the segment that was supposed to run for approximately 15 minutes.
HBO spokesman Ray Stallone had this to say to the press about the regrettable show:
“Let’s be honest, it wasn’t our best TV. It was a regrettable interview. We had to make a decision and we decided to end it early. I mean, we probably won’t be submitting that segment for any awards.”
There’s good news and bad news for those of you who missed the spectacle. The bad news is that if you go to HBO.com and try to watch the “Overtime” clip it has vanished, hmm I wonder why. The good news is the crafty people over at Deadspin archived the video before it disappeared, so you can watch it there. At least until HBO’s lawyers get wind of this.
If the internet segment doesn’t completely tickle your funny bone, you can find the rest of the episode featuring an equally painful exchange between the two, On Demand.
What are your thoughts on the banter between Joe Buck and Artie Lange? Did either go too far in the war of words, or is it even possible that the squabble was a staged publicity stunt? Let us know in the comment section. Also, check out pics and a video below.
