There seems to have been a web wide race to see who could get the first video and photos of the alleged mistress of Mark Sanford. Soon after she was revealed as being the alleged seductress behind the governor’s disappearance the media set up camp outside of her apartment building; which is located near the Buenos Aires zoo.
Only a few pictures have surfaced so far including the one above, which shows her as a reporter for an Argentine TV station covering the 9/11 attacks.

According to the Argentinian outlet, she is a 43-year-old mother of two sons, both from a previous marriage. One of her neighbors describes her as a beautiful brunette who enjoys exercising, with her activities ranging from tennis to jogging. She has also been described as having large eyes. There was a false report stating that she was employed by an agriculture company.
According to Gabriel Bartos, Maria Belen Chapur (not Shapur) worked for the Argentine TV station Canal America as a journalist and a translator of English. As of late, the press has gone nuts trying to obtain pictures and video of the former journalist.
