Michael Jackson memorial tickets are in high demand, with over 1 million fans registering online for the chance to attend Michael Jackson’s public memorial service on Tuesday at the Staples center. An email was sent out to those who won the online lottery system, but still many are wondering if they can attend. Police are asking those with out tickets to stay home, as over crowding will be an issue.
According to representatives for the Jackson family, close to 1.6 million fans from around the world registered. There were only 17,500 tickets made available to the public, and 11,000 of those selected registrants will enter the Staples Center, while the remaining 6,500 will be escorted across the street to the Nokia Theater for a live simulcast. False reports have hit the net about Michael Jackson memorial tickets, saying that the notification has been delayed until Monday because of the great demand. However, MTV News reports that “nothing has changed,” and fans should have been notified by Sunday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. PT. Ticket pickup will is set to take place on Monday, at a location aside from the Staples Center. Two tickets and two wristbands will be given to 8,750 computer lottery selected fans.
Michael Jackson memorial tickets are also being auctioned off for large sums of cash on ebay, with one of the larger auctions reaching $500,199.00.
