Nike poster boy and walking highlight reel, LeBron James has earned a reputation for embarrassing opponents with his superior athleticism on the court. Now the tides have turned, and that is probably the reason why “LeBron James Dunked On Video” is one of the day’s top Google trends.

According to reports, the controversy began after Xavier sophomore Jordan Crawford threw down a two handed dunk on the “Chosen One” in a Nike-run Skills Academy in Akron, Ohio. Luckily for us the cameras were rolling, right? Wrong! Freelance cameraman Ryan Miller told CBSSports.com that his tapes were confiscated shortly after James discussed something undisclosed with Nike Basketball senior director Lynn Merritt. Suspicious Huh?

Spokesperson for the brand, KeJuan Wilkins said that they seized the tapes as a result of the cameramen violating the camp’s policy by filming after hours saying:

“Unfortunately, for the first time in four years, two journalists did not respect our no-videotaping policy at an after-hours pick-up game Monday evening following the LeBron James Skills Academy.”

A gracious Jordan Crawford had only good things to say about LeBron James, saying that it is “exciting just to play on the same court as him.”
