On a roll, it seems like nothing can stop the bodacious black beauty! As if being nominated for an Oscar for her starring role in the movie “Doubt” wasn’t enough, Davis is already set to take on two more new movie roles.

The first of which, she will star alongside Clive Owen in the David Schwimmer directed film “Trust,” which is quickly receiving a lot of positive attention. For the other project, “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” she will portray a heroic shrink who aids a teenage boy in overcoming anxiety, during his stay at an adult mental institution.

To date, Davis has brought an array of fascinating characters to life on the big screen. So, I can’t wait to see how she will utilize her natural acting prowess to benefit these next two projects.

I’m not sure when these forthcoming movies are scheduled for release. However, as a huge fan you can bet that “A”, on those days, I’ll either be sitting in a movie theater watching, or “B” picking it up from the nearest Redbox to view at home.

As a biography, Viola Davis was born on August 11, 1965 in S. Carolina. As a teen she began earning recognition for her acting capabilities, and even received a scholarship to attend a school of arts. Then she went on to attend Julliard, which in her eyes was somewhere in between a blessing and a curse. According to Viola, the school expands one as an actor, but at the same time takes away from uniqueness.

Eager to learn more about the arts, she also attended and graduated from Rhode Island College. Following along in her outspoken nature, she has spoken out against casting directors who still stereotype based on race.
