It was a big day for Bon Jovi Fans, which includes me, yesterday with the announcement of The Circle Tour. This breaking news is right on the heels the shocking news that Bon Jovi will only appear on NBC Universal shows to promote their new album The Circle.
The Circle tour will kick off February 19th in Seattle. Although only dates for the first leg of the tour have been announced, including playing the Q2 in London and being first band to play at the New Meadowlands Stadium in May. I personally plan on being at one of the Meadowlands concerts, did I mention I love Bon Jovi. For all you American Express Cardmembers presale tickets for the New Meadowlands go on sale Monday, October 26th. The rest of us have to wait until Saturday, October 31st, bummer. All other tour date tickets go on presale, again for American Express Cardmembers only, Monday, November 9th and general public Saturday, November 16th.
In other Bon Jovi news it was announced recently that the band will only appear on NBC Universal shows to promote their new album. That means, Leno, Conan, Jimmy Fallon, SNL, Inside The Actors Studio, etc. The deal is being called The Artist In Residence project. Supposedly this deal will help Bon Jovi reach a more broad and diverse audience. It is definitely a unique situation. Personally it is one heck of a business move for the NBC Universal entity, but I still wonder just how much it will benefit Bon Jovi. All I can say is Bon Jovi sure knows what they are doing so who I am to judge this rather unusual way to promote The Circle. In case you didn’t already know The Circle comes out Tuesday, November 10th.
