Two NBC comedy hits, “Parks & Recreation” and “Community”, got the great green light for more episodes.
That’s a good sign as there have been many sit-coms and drama T.V. shows on the chopping block.
“Parks & Recreation” stars former SNL funny girl, Amy Poehler. The show, set in Indiana, centers around Leslie Knope (played by Poehler) and her office of misfits in local government.
Joel McHale, a comedian from the show “The Soup” heads an all star cast on the show. “Community” is about a group of oddballs attending community college. Joel plays Jeff Winger, an slick attorney who’s legal career is on hold because he didn’t get an honest law degree, but that’s not stopping Jeff. His desire to do the right thing is fueled by his “never-say-die” personality.
Funny stuff! What’s even better is watching comedy king, Chevy Chase, return to T.V.
Both shows are part of NBC’s Thursday night line-up beginning at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
The primetime, medical drama, “Mercy”, also survived being canceled and will be seen on NBC’s Wednesday night line-up beginning at 8 p.m. EST/ PST.
“Mercy” stars newcomer, Taylor Schilling, heading the cast as a nurse named, Veronica Flanagan Callahan, who has recently returned from a tour in Iraq. “Buffy The Vampire” starlet, Michelle Trachtenberg, co-stars as a young nurse named, Chloe Payne, who is bright, hard-working, but inexperienced with the hard core issues of the nursing profession.
