All My Children’s Alicia Minshew, she plays Kendall Hart, welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday. Willow Lenora Herschenfeld was born to Alicia and hubby Richie Herschenfeld at 6:42 am. The healthy bundle of joy weighed 5lbs, 2oz. Little Willow surprised her parents by making her debut earlier than expected, she was not due to arrive until around Thanksgiving. Both mom and baby are doing just fine. This is the first child for the proud new parents.
It has been a whirlwind couple of months for Alicia Minshew. Shortly after announcing her pregnancy the executives at All My Children announced the show would be moving from New York to Los Angeles in January. The shocking news forced Alicia to make some tough decisions, stay with the show and move to Los Angeles, or leave the show she has called home since 2002. Lucky for All My Children fans, Alicia recently announced that she would be sticking with the show, yay! She will however be taking an extended maternity before heading west. Sad news for Kendall and Zach fans though, Thorsten Kaye, who plays Zach Slater, has decided not to make the move to the left coast. Alicia was scheduled to finish taping at the end of this week. However since Willow arrived early it looks like Alicia is officially on maternity leave.
Alicia and hubby Richie married in 2008. Thorsten Kaye, who is a good friend of Richie, introduced the proud new parents to each other. The couple wed in a very small intimate ceremony in 2008. The wedding was so small Alicia’s only cast member in attendance was Cameron Mathison, who was the wedding photographer. Herschenfeld owns the restaurant Luckys Famous Burgers in New York City. If you are in NYC and looking for a really good burger, I suggest you go there, the burgers are awesome. Congratulations to Alicia and Richie!
