Julianne Hough has a lot going on for her. She is an aspiring country singer, a professional dancer, a cast member on the mega TV hit Dancing With The Stars and has country hottie Chuck Wicks as a boyfriend. Not bad for a 21 year old from Salt Lake City. Most of us know Hough as the two-time Disco Ball trophy winner on Dancing With The Stars. I know it is where I first heard of her.
However as we all know being beautiful, talented and successful does not always insure happiness. It seems as though Hough and Wicks have officially ended their relationship. It is of course being called a mutual decision by both parities, no surprise there, it is always a mutual break up. The country couple began dating in 2008 when both were touring with country super star Brad Paisley. Last spring Chuck was paired with Julianne on Dancing With The Stars, although the two didn’t make it to the end or bring home the disco ball, they were a fan favorite. Both Hough and Wicks are expected to still appear at the Country Music Awards later tonight. He is scheduled to be a red carpet correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and she is scheduled to be a presenter. I am guessing there are some people at the CMA’s working overtime to make sure these two don’t have an awkward run it at the festivities.
Julianne Hough has a dancing family, her grandparents were dancers and her parents met on ballroom dancing team in college, so it was no surprise when the blonde beauty decided to pursue dance professionally. Although Hough won many awards as a young professional dancer, it has been her time on DWTS that has showed the world her talents. During her time on the show Julianne also signed with Mercury Records, a division of Universal Music Group. The album debuted to mix reviews, but did end up #1 on the Top Country Album chart. Julianne will soon become a triple threat when she makes her acting debut as Ariel in the remake of the 80’s hit Footloose along side Gossip Girl super hunk Chace Crawford. Her relationship with Chuck Wicks may not of lasted but it certainly looks like Julianne Hough has Hollywood staying power.
