ABC is bringing sexy back to TV with the remake of the 70’s hit show Charlie’s Angels. That is right the women that were known for their beauty, their sexiness and well kicking some serious but will soon be on your TV again. It is time for a whole new group of Charlie’s Angels to make history.

The Charlie’s Angels team came together in 1976 quickly making its leading ladies, Farah Fawcett, Jacklyn Smith, and Kate Jackson household names. The blonde bombshell Farrah only stuck around for a year, but during that year she quickly became a sex symbol icon. Smith was the only original Angel to stay throughout the series run from 1976-81.

The soon to be new remake will not be the first attempt at an Angels return to television. Angels 88 was set to hit airwaves in 1988. A revamped version of the original, but produced again by mega hit producer Aaron Spelling the show was destined to be a hit. However when writing issues occurred the show became delayed, the delay ended up being the death of the show, which actually never made it to air.

The Angels weren’t seen or heard from again until 2000 when they made it on the big screen. Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz stepped in as the sexy sirens kicking some but, in the movie version of Charlie’s Angels. The new angels were so hot that Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle had them back in action in 2003.

Whether we are talking about new Angels, old Angles or not yet heard of Angels there is one thing we can count on from the ABC remake. The show will be hot and full of sex appeal. Especially since it is rumored that Drew Barrymore is possibly going to produce the remake. Drew certainly knows how to make strong women kicking but look seriously easy and hot.

I guess everything old really is new again, all you have to do is look at the slew of recently remade movies and TV shows to see that. I for one am looking forward to the new Charlies Angles.
