Everyone is simply freaking out over Steven Tyler and not in a good way. Steven has been a major rock God since the early 70’s when Aerosmith was formed and it has been a long and rocky road for this mesmerizing front man.
Recently Steven, 61, fell off the stage during a performance and seriously injured himself.
Now four months later everyone around Tyler is concerned for his well being. Even going so far as to say Steven has “isolated himself.” Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer stated: “He’s got some bad influences in his life right now and he’s making poor choices.” Could he be referring to Tyler’s girlfriend Erin Brady?
On August 5, 2009 the rocker fell off stage in Sturgis, South Dakota while his band was playing the song “Love in an Elevator.” Steven stepped right off the stage ramp while dancing around in an attempt to entertain the crowd after the sound system stopped working during the song.
Bandmembers seem convinced that Tyler has relapsed. Judging by all the health problems and injuries that Steven has sustained, that could be possible. Just last year Tyler had to undergo foot surgery and even checked into rehab to “recuperate” from that operation. In March he contracted pneumonia and then in August he took a stage dive that resulted in head, neck and shoulder injuries.
As for Erin Brady not much information is out there. They say Erin is believed to be a huge factor as to why Stephen was recently in rehab again. Apparently Erin is quite fond of the party like a rock star mentality.
Many of those who are close to Tyler are suggesting Steven, who battled drug addiction in the ’70s and ’80s and checked into a rehab center last year to detox from painkillers, (not foot surgery as reported) may be partying again.
Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford says “His behavior is spinning out of control.” He also revealed that Tyler’s behavior has been “erratic” and “unpredictable.” He notes, “It wasn’t an overnight change. It’s been progressively getting out of hand.”
The biggest telling factor? “Loads of cancellations, canceled tours, and canceled dates,” says Whitford.
Steven Tyler is one of the greatest rock stars ever. Let’s all hope that he call pull it together and recover from whatever it is that is “ailing” him.
