Katie Couric was invited to the state dinner at the White House last night. Katie showed up with her very private and low key boyfriend Brooks Perlin. Not much is known about Brooks Perlin but I’ll dig up what I can and fill you in.
Everyone knows exactly who Katie Couric is. She was a familiar face for over 15 years on the Today Show. She moved on to make history as the first female to anchor the evening news all by herself. She also worked on 60 minutes and CBS specials. But her claim to fame was that first appearance on CBS which brought the most viewership to that show in many years.
As for Brooks Perlin, that’s another story…
Brooks Perlin went to Williams College, so the guy has been properly schooled but he mostly enjoyed playing sports. He was on the tennis team and he was wicked awesome at volleyball. Somewhat of a show off says one schoolmate, who describes Brooks as a stripped down athlete and revealed, “lots of shirtlessness. He seemed to enjoy displaying the bod.” Close friends say he loves to work out, keep fit and show off his muscles playing sports. In fact he is somewhat of an exercise freak and has participated in several triathlons.
I guess we could call Katie a “cougar” since she’s 50 and Brooks is 33. It’s not an issue for Perlin as he is known to have a pattern of dating older women. He is also known to possess a wandering eye. Hopefully Katie’s not the jealous type.
Couric was married to Jay Monahan in 1989, the couple has 2 daughters. Sadly, Jay died of colon cancer at only 42 years of age.
Anyway, Brooks Perlin is Katie Couric’s boyfriend and they were rubbing elbows with the president and feasting on some pretty fabulous food at the White House.
