Did you watch the video where Mary J Blige slaps husband Kendu? Obviously Mary J ain’t havin’ it so she hauls off and clocks him. During Mary J Blige’s album release party things got a little out of hand between Mary and husband Kendu Issacs.
Apparently Mary didn’t realize cameras were following her every move because she went up one side and down the other on Kendu and they caught the entire incident on film! So, what happened? I’ll tell you…
Initially the smack down was believed to be hearsay until the video popped up all over the Internet. At first it was reported that Mary punched her husband but after the video surfaced you can see it’s more of a slap. In any event, there is no denying exactly what went down once you watch the footage. Mary J is seen slapping Kendu up the side of the head in a jealous rage. Why so jealous, Mary J.?
The slap came after she thought he was flirting with a waitress. A witness stated: “She turned to him and was screaming, ‘You’re not going to ruin my night,’ They got up in each other’s faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face.” Ouch!
It’s kind of surprising (or maybe not) that Mary J Blige would resort to violence considering she has her own tales of abuse throughout her life. She has spoken openly about her struggles with drugs, alcohol and abusive relationships in her past.
Interestingly enough, Mary J credits Kendu Issacs for helping her to overcome many of the obstacles from her past, including abusive relationships and alcohol. Known for prickly demeanor during interviews it’s obvious she doesn’t put up with what she considers intolerant behavior. It kind of makes you wonder if Mary J is willing to break that cycle of abuse or when she gets angry she just lashes out at whoever is in her way?
Two words for you Mary: Anger Management.

If he did something that disrespected her, then, yes, she should have slapped him. Men need to grow up. I would have slapped my husband too. I am with you on that, Mary.

I feel like if he was ignorant enough to do it where all her friends and family were at then he deserved just what he got she should of punched him in his mouth lol

I don’t care what he did there is no excuse for violence. If Kendu slapped her you would be ready to throw him in jail you man hating feminazis need to stop with the double standards.

This situation seems very stress related due to high tentions for perfection. If I was in her shoes, slapping my husband, in front of so many people, would not be an option. So what if he was friendly with a waitress, and it disrepected me, then I would deal with him at home! I think good men deserve resepect as well as unconditional talking space. Especially when the level of trust is high !!
