Ever since Simon Cowell announced that this is his last season of American Idol, the ‘who will replace Simon’ rumors have been running rampant. Well have I got one for you, Jamie Foxx, American Idol judge contender? Oh yes you read it correctly Jamie Foxx replacing Simon Cowell is apparently a possibility. Is he really an American Idol judge possibility, or is this just another out there rumor? Keep reading I have the answer to that question and more, plus some great pictures of Jamie and a video where he talks about his previous American Idol experience.
According to Life & Style magazine Jamie’s name has been thrown into the ring to replace Simon on American Idol. In fact the magazine is calling him a strong contender for American Idol judge and that producers are courting him now. Given the source of this new information I wouldn’t necessarily put too much trust in this latest American idol rumor.
However even though I am not sure how much truth there is to the Jamie Foxx, American Idol judge rumor, I of course want to give you my two cents on the subject because I so have an opinion. Foxx really, I can’t think of a better reason to not watch the show if he comes on board as a judge. I just don’t like the guy and don’t think he is a qualified judge. Sure he won an Oscar for Ray and I guess he has a decent voice, but I just don’t see him as a good judge. Although they did hire Ellen DeGeneres to replace Paula and I don’t necessarily think she is qualified either, and I am a huge fan of hers. Jamie on the other hand, not a big fan of his at all.
I am sure there are many of you out there who are thrilled with the idea that Jamie Foxx could be the next American Idol judge, I am just not one of them. This is one rumor I hope stays just that a rumor.
