Andrew Gallo was the driver of the minivan that crashed into Nick Adenhart’s car, killing Adenhart and two others. The crash took place April 9, 2009 in California, after Gallo ran a stop light while driving allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

Gallo will be booked on “felony hit and run, felony DUI, vehicular manslaughter and possibly murder,” according to authorities.

Gallo was reportedly drinking and driving with a suspended license due to a prior DUI, when he fled the scene. He was quickly arrested after the tragic incident.

It looks as if Andrew Gallo followed in Dante’ Stallworth’s footsteps, as both men while driving under the influence, have killed an innocent victim.

It was about a month ago when, Dante Stallworth, hit and killed Mario Reyes in Miami while drinking and driving. The main difference between the two cases is that Gallo fled the scene, and had a suspended license. Stallworth on the other hand was very cooperative with the law enforcement.

In no way am I implying that the two should receive the same punishment, as the crimes are similar, but with extremely different variables. Although I do believe, that sport stars should be punished to the same degree as any average Joe.

    John Doe Says:

The parallel between Donte Stallworth and Gallo is really not as similar as you make it seem.

Sure, both were legally intoxicated at the time of their accidents and an involved individual ended up dying; however, remember that Gallo killed THREE people; Stallworth one. I would argue that THAT is the main difference; not the fleeing the scene or the suspended license.

    Mike Says:

The difference to me seems one man showing remorse instantly for a serious lack of judgement. The other, knowing that he has already committed this heinous act before, was trying to hide and not face his crime! The death of three young people due to the ignorant actions of one. Dante Stallworth at least showed remorse and in my opinion deserves to recieve a bit of leiniency compared to Adenhart’s killer.

Actually, the most significant difference is that Gallo signed, after his last DUI, an order that an accident like this would result in a murder charge and not manslaughter. Stallworth is a first time offender.
