CBS has signed on for another controversial reality television show. This time the contestants will allow their friends and family to choose a spouse for them, and set up an arranged marriage. The show will be done in a documentary format and will follow the couples from the time they meet until they say their nuptials.
The arranged marriage show, will feature men and women aged 25-45 and was created by Jane Lipsitz and Dan Cutforth, who executive produced Bravo’s Project Runway and Top Chef.
Fox tried a marriage genre reality show back in 2003, Married By America. They were later fined $1l.8 million by the FCC when some pixilated nudity was aired, however, it was reduced to $91,000.
