The Iron Chef is being sued by former employees who worked for Mario Batali at Pizzeria Mozza restaurant. They claim he and a business partner cooked up a scheme to steal tips. Be sure to check out pictures and videos below.

According to new reports, Chef Mario Batali is sued by an ex-bartender and server from his Pizzeria Mozza restaurant. One may ask how does this brilliant yet corrupt scheme work? Well they say it’s called the “Wine Program”. It is said that Batali and his partner-in-crime “funneled a certain percentage of tips that were paid by credit card” and kept the remaining hard earned tips for themselves. But that’s not all. The former employees also say the same scheme was operated next door at the Iron Chef’s other restaurant, Osteria Mozza. Also stated in legal documents, they former employees did not receive “adequate breaks and they weren’t paid promptly upon being let go”.

Does this sound familiar? Well it should since this isn’t Batali’s first lawsuit filed against him. The hungry-eating boss was previously sued by two other former employees from his Ristorante Enoteca Babbo. Servers Herman Ricardo Alvarado and Stephanie Capsolas accused Batali of: forcing them to split their tips with other disqualified employees, were paid below minimum wage, obligated to work overtime and shifts that exceeded 10 hours.

They, too, sought unspecified damages. Their lawyer provided comment:
“It is sad to see a prestigious employer line his pockets with money belonging to the little guys.”

And I couldn’t agree more, he must be starving! Tell us what you think about Chef Mario Batali sued in the comment box. Also, see photos and a video of his incredible edible cookbook collaboration below.
