David Beckham Fan Fight

LA Galaxy was playing a game against Milan this weekend when David Beckham and a fan almost got into it. He was severely taunted and booed just about every time he got the ball. Fans are apparently upset that he missed several games in the beginning of the season, during which time he actually played with the Milan team.

While David Beckham was playing with Milan, he reportedly made statements about the level of play being higher while over there. This didn’t really sit well with fans of LA Galaxy, who let him know how they felt during this weekend’s match. So, during his attempted come back game many of them held banners that read “go home fraud” and were relentlessly booing him.

Then, just before halftime was called, David Beckham walked over toward the most raucous section of the crowd. Beckham appeared to be challenging the fans to come down and confront him.

He even seemed to be trying to jump over the barrier wall to get closer. The fan, who clearly had one too many, jumped down out of his seat and made his way toward Beckham. At that point security intervened and removed him. Beckham was then escorted to the locker room for halftime.

To be fair, some people that were there say he wasn’t looking for a fight, but that he was trying to make amends. One fan claimed that he actually approached the rowdy fan to try to shake hands with him.

Either way, it sure is bringing in a lot of publicity for the LA Galaxy (cha-ching!)

Please dont comment on things you dont understand.
The quality of the two leagues WAS NEVER THE PROBLEM.
Every MLS and Galaxy fan as well as coaches and administrators will tell you that there is a HUGE gulf between the two leagues. Like Major League baseball and double A ball or even single A.
    THAT was never the problem.
Its the fact that he will be paid 250 MILLION dollars and is treating the team as a part time job after forcing a move to the italian team which forced him to miss half of this season. (in the two previous he has been average and the team missed the playoffs both times), then he made noise about wanting to stay there and you do know that next year he will DO the same thing and miss another half season?

He came here when his career was on the downside and he came for 250 MILLION. This was a money move and his anorexic stick of wifes ‘career’. Then when the cute girl (Milan) give him time of day, he thinks he can still bang both on a part time basis and the first girlfriend wont mind.
Guess what? Even ‘american’ fans have self respect.

And I just went briefly over it and missed many parts.

But your reason is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Find me ONE fan who thinks that this was because “he reportedly made statements about the level of play being higher while over there”. Go ahead.
Ask the league commisioner if the league in Italy is a higher caliber and will say “of course’.

Its ok, i dont read you for your sports knowledge but this was just so wrong I had to mention it.
