When Eminem makes a comeback he sure does it right! Interscope announced that not only will Slim Shady be giving fans the gift of one new album, Relapse; he will also throw in another present for fans later on in the year, Relapse 2.
The first LP is scheduled to drop May 19, We Made You, will be the first single of the Album, with the music video hitting television airwaves on April 7. MTV.com reports that the record may be in addition to “Crack a Bottle,” which already went #1.
Although Relapse 2 doesn’t have a release date, Eminem made it clear in a statement that he was still in the studio working on the album, and that it would be released sometime in the second half of the year.
This is what Eminem had to say in a press release:
“A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year. I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.”
Four years have passed since Eminem put out his last solo LP, Encore.
