It was meant to be Syesha Mercado’s night. The Floridian was voted off of American Idol and this was her last chance to sing to America. However former American Idol Fantasia stole her thunder, and not necessarily in a good way. I have never really been a fan of Fantasia, while I can appreciate her high energy, she screams instead of sings, and I don’t think that is talent.
Fantasia sported a new bright red do, and jumped all around singing her song “Bore Me.” It was a bit over the top, and of course she screamed. Simon Cowell made his feelings clear about the performance with body language. Simon sat there with his jaw clenched and staring in disbelief.
After Fantasia’s performance on American Idol last night, one thing is clear. Fantasia is either a talent you love or hate. Those who love her music, pretty much worship her and call her the modern Tina Turner. While those who dislike her, can’t understand her and don’t want to be screamed at for entertainment.

Who cares what she looks like. That performance was brilliant. I’m also tired of people saying she screams instead of sings. Absolutely false! Even during that performance when she unleashed a volcanic high note, it was pitch-perfect and under control. That is not screaming.

hands down fantasia is and alwyas will be the best singer alive i cry every time i listen to her music i have been listening to her from the start of every thing i am 14 and i look at her and she me all over the singing i can sing just dont know were to start the whole life story she had been their and i want to do something with myself and make a big difference in life like she did to me b/c she is the reson i was like i can do that i can become i singer i know i can do it if i try hard enough i will and can do anything that i want and every day i wake up nd thank god for fantasia barrino…and you keep doin wat you doin god got so many planes for you.:) your biggest fan:shabela like ……yes it is my real name
