Farrah Fawcett has returned home to LA, from Frankfurt Germany where she had been receiving experimental stem cell research for cancer, that is unavailable in the United States. Learn more about her courageous battle, and see video and pictures here.
Farrah Fawcett, 62, who has been fighting intestinal cancer for two years, now she is back at her Los Angeles home from Germany, where she was receiving treatment.
At one point Fawcett was told that she was rid of what she calls the ‘terrorist’ inside her body. Unfortunately doctors were wrong.
When she arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport from Germany, the frail Fawcett was wearing a maroon hat and dark shades.
Fawcett had been flying back and forth between L.A. and Frankfurt, where she was being treated with experimental stem Cell therapy, that can’t be received in the states.
Ryan O’ Neal, 67, the father of Farrah’s 24-year-old son, Redmond, has been recently caring for her.
The actress is most well known for starring in the 1970s TV series, Charlie’s Angeles.
Farrah Fawcett courageously allowed her cancer treatment to be filmed for an upcoming TV documentary, A Wing and a Prayer. Commenting on the documentary she said:
“As much as I would have liked to keep my cancer private, I have a certain responsibility to those fighting their own fights who may benefit about learning from mine.”
