Fresh out of Texas, which is quickly becoming the car chase capital of the world, we had news another crazy car chase. There have been several already in 2009, and we have the video of today’s car chase in Houston for you to check out.

The men were being investigated by the West Side Tactical Team for a nearby burglary. That’s when Houston officers attempted to make a traffic stop on their white Dodge Caravan. The driver then decided to throw the car in reverse and take off. He is described as a male in his 20s.

He led Houston authorities on a car chase that lasted for about an hour. They covered a total of 25 miles through 2 counties before it came to an end near the Greenspoint mall.

One of the suspects attempted to hide in a parking garage, but was soon blocked in. He then had only one choice; to jump from the top of the garage, and land on the pavement a few floors below. Injured, but still alive, the suspect was arrested and transported to an area hospital.

One of the officers described his jump as a “swan dive.”
