•Clark first started in the entertainment business in 1945 when he began working for his Uncle’s radio station.
•His nickname is The World’s Oldest Teenager.
•He stage produced and hosted several concerts during the 1950′s and 60′s.
•Clark produced and hosted Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve starting in 1972, and the first segments of the show can be seen in the film Forrest Gump.
•He has been married three times, his last marriage was on 7/7/77 with seven people in the wedding party, seven candles, and it was over in 17 minutes. Looks like 7 is his lucky number.
•Dick Clark and his wife do not drink, even on New Years Eve.
•He was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1990 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
•He suffered a mild stroke in 2004, for which Regis Philbin hosted the Rockin New Year’s. Starting in 2005 Clark returned, but brought in Ryan Seacrest, and announced that he would become his replacement when the time came.
