TMZ.com originally reported that Brooke Shields was facing off against Kiefer Sutherland for headbutting Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough, saying that he “in no way did anything to Brooke that would have warranted the alleged attack.”
Eyewitnesses claim that Monday night at an after-party for the Met Costume Institute Gala in NYC, Jack pushed Brooke to the ground. Brooke’s rep told TMZ that,
“Nothing happened to her. Jack did nothing inappropriate. It’s not clear what caused Kiefer to do what he did.”
Now the celebrity gossip site reports that authorities have backed up Kiefer’s story, and that in fact Brooke Shields was involved in the quarrel that rendered designer Jack McCollough injured.
“Brooke was definitely involved,” said one law enforcement source.
The “24″ star allegedly confronted Jack, and demanded he apologize to Brooke for assaulting her. The two began to squabble and Sutherland landed a headbutt to McCollough’s nose.
According to reports, Shields will be interviewed by police on Wednesday. So stay tuned.
