Reality star Jen Schefft, 32, was married to her fiancé Joe Waterman, 35, on Friday night. The couple first met on a blind date in early 2008. The wedding was held in a private dining room at Tony Mantuano’s Spiaggia, where the newlyweds feasted on pasta and pulled pork, and then grooved to the tunes of a hired DJ, while overlooking Lake Michigan.

Jennifer Schefft was born on July 23, 1976 in Mentor, Ohio. In her teens she attended Mentor High School, and graduated in 1994. Schefft went on to study at Ohio University in Athens, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
She was chosen as the winner by, Andrew Firestone, on the third installment of “The Bachelor” series. After Jen and Andrew split up, Jen took a crack at it and starred in the third installment of “The Bachelorette.” She selected a man named Jerry after sending the other 24 men packing, but in a surprise twist she told him that they should “just be friends” on the live finale.
“Better Single than Sorry” is the title of Jen’s first book, which was published in January of 2007. She dedicated months documenting her past experiences as well as ones from friends. The book is described as a guide for women to take hold of their singledom, and to learn how to go out there and live to the fullest. It was featured in Today’s Chicago Woman, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Red Eye, US Weekly, and also on The Today Show.
