To the horror of MTV watchers everywhere, Jersey Shore replaced its entire cast for Season 3. At least that’s the latest scoop. What’s confirmed is that all the members are holding out for a huge pay increase, and there’s almost no chance MTV is going to meet it. Check out the full story, with pictures and video below!
The second season, premiering shortly, will feature new additions to the original cast, but the third season may only have new members according to sources. The Situation and Pauly D are the two members leading the charge for the pay increase, but the group says they’ll stick together no matter what.
MTV’s Jersey Shore replaced nobody for the second season because everyone gladly accepted their pay, which was a $10,000 signing bonus and $5,000 per episode, which amounts to $70,000 per season. When met with demands for a raise for season three, the network came back with $10,000 per episode ($130,000 per season) for each cast member. But to the shock of absolutely no body, the cast members valued themselves higher than that and are stubbornly sticking to their lofty demands.
If the stalemate sticks, MTV will be forced to re-cast the show with a whole new crew. That would be bad news for everybody except JWOWW, who “cried her eyes out” when the show was renewed for Season 2.
“She doesn’t want to be on the show anymore [because] she isn’t friends with them.” Said a source close to JWOWW.
So it’s a win-win for her! Apparently MTV is willing to accept any member who takes the pay offer, so we might see a couple of the more sensible crew back for 3, but odds are the hard headed Pauly D and The Situation will be gone for good.

they need to pay them higher. this show is so popular and the show would not be as popular with anyone different. these people are the “jersey shore” and cannot be replaced. people can be added, but no one should be replaced. you can’t replace them because like i said they are the jersey shore. even angelina, i may not like her but she is still part of it.

Yo they need to keep the same people on the jersey shore… It is a awsome show with the original cast and Pauly D and the situation pretty much make the whole show. If they recast they should put me on the show…. hahah id show them a whole new situation up in Jersey….

I was just in vaction in seaside, and all the cast was spotted except for jwoww and angelina. But everyone was there fliming the show, it was crazy but the do come back for season 3

They better NOT change the cast otherwise NO one will watch the show. The current cast IS the cast of Jersey Shore.
MTV should pay them more. MTV gets SOOOO much revenue it’s not even funny and they should pay them.
And I do not understand what you said about JWOWW “crying her eyes out” when Jersey Shore 2 came out.

They should keep the jersey shore crew the same even if it means to pay them more MTV has so much money if you replace jwoww,pauly d and the situation no one will watch the show. Plus if you guy were smart you would keep the same peolpe becuase if you do more peolpe will watch more people more money so plzzz don’t move the oldcast and put new ones I need jwoww.

yo mtv are a bunch of cheap queers if they dont pay them higher, its the best show they have going for them right now. not like they cant afford it either. you cant replace the cast cause they are the show, if you replace the cast you might as well just cancel the show cause itll be shit. use your heads mtv and give the people what they want and stop bein pussies. jersey shore is the best show ever made and if you cant give them what they ask for then were gonna have a “situation”. “situationally speaking” if the cast is replaced youll be “fist pumped” by millions in “one shot kid”. just do the right thing.

I just started watching jersey shore a couple weeks ago and it is “BY FAR” the best show that I have ever seen….and that is saying something bcuz I haven’t seen more than 2 episodes and its just great with this cast…..mtv is rolling in money and they can spare some money for THE best tv show ever made……stick with all the partying guidos we know mtv!
