Equine elegance isn’t something we’re all blessed with! Katherine Heigl’s horse accident happened recently when she was riding on her new 25 acre ranch, and left her with more than just a bruised ego. For more details, with more pictures and videos, keep reading below the photo.
She and hubby Josh Kelley love the different scene that LA just doesn’t offer. The “Knocked Up” actress took up competitive riding when they moved and after hearing from her, it seems like she needs more practice!
The married couple has always liked Utah and tied the knot there back in December 2007 and you can see a picture here. They just recently packed up, with their child, and decided to live somewhere where things are a little less congested. Kelley said:
“We live up in the mountains in Utah now. Katie rides horses, I do a lot of fishing and golfing, it’s a lot of fun.”
Katherine Heigl’s horse riding interest may be dampened, but it looks like she will try to get “back in the saddle.” She is trying to learn and shared her experience:
“I have no idea what I’m doing… it’s very difficult. He (the horse) is great and he wasn’t trying to kill me but I just lost control and I couldn’t stop him. The more upset I’d get, the faster he’d go. He was running into the walls and I just leaped off of him into these iron bars and I stood there bleeding watching him go berserk and I went, ‘What have I done?'”
Luckily the celebrity didn’t have any very serious injuries and should be able to make it to her newest movie “Life As We Know It” opening next week.
“I split my fingernail open and cut my knee, it wasn’t that bad. I didn’t break anything.”
It seems the couple is pretty happy adjusting to life outside of LA, but it will obviously take a while. I hope Katherine Heigl’s horse incident doesn’t keep her away from something she loves. What do you think about the fact that she wants to live in Utah as opposed to California? Is she soon going to be a country bumpkin? Leave me your comments, after you check out these photos and video.
