Even with two hit Reality TV shows under her belt and tons of money in her coach purse, Khloe Kardashian allegedly owes $18,490.74 in back taxes from 3 years ago and the State of California wants their money! The tax year was 2007 which is when Khloe and her famous family started their popular reality show “Keeping up with the Kardashians.” Since then Khloe & Kourtney Kardashian are starring in another successful TV show “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” together and the money just keeps rolling in…. When we think of the Kardashians, we don’t associate the family with having money problems as it seems that money doesn’t stop flowing all around them! Last Friday the State of California must have noticed that they didn’t get paid way back in 2007 and slammed Khloe with a tax lien! The total amount of $18,490.74 but Kardashian actually owes $12,891 but there were penalty charges, interest and collection fees that were additionally tacked on of $5,599.74. Whew! That’s a lot of money to have to pay out but I bet Khloe could spend that in one day on clothes, in fact that is probably what a simple tank top costs at her trendy clothing boutique ‘DASH’ where she is a part owner.
Khloe, nor her rep could be reached about this topic but according to TMZ a source shared that Khloe was aware of the Lien and she had already paid the Lien in full. As of now, she is just waiting for the Lien to be released and her name to be cleared of the money owed. It has also been said that the reason this slip up even occurred was because of a previous accountant that did not do exactly what they were supposed to. Apparently Khloe paid the original taxes back in 2007 but the accountant failed to pass along the money to the State of California. However that accountant is out and a new one is in place and so all fines were paid in full!
