Lady Gaga’s Vogue cover for March 2011 shows the singer striking a fierce pose, and looking a bit like a character from Alice in Wonderland. Get some interview snippets here, and see related video below.

Lady Gaga

Gaga has long established herself as a fashion icon, and like others who have come before her, she is often criticized for being too ‘over the top.’ The Greek Toga look that she dons for next month’s cover could go either way.

As far as her style goes, the look is pretty tame. She sports clean, pink hair with stark lipstick. Honestly, without her name in the subtitle, I think she is almost unrecognizable.

But as usual, it isn’t just her outer appearance that is captivating people; it’s what she says. The website Idolator ran a piece all about her outlandish responses to the interviewer’s questions.

Here are a few memorable ones:

“I consider myself to have one of the greatest voices in the industry. I consider myself to be one of the greatest songwriters. I wouldn’t say that I am one of the greatest dancers, but I am really quite good at what I do…”

“I wrote (Born This Way) in ten f**king minutes…and it is a completely magical message song…”

Oh, and how about a nice anecdote from a recent show:

“The other night, in London, I had food poisoning. I was vomiting backstage during the changes… Nobody knew… I don’t want them to think I am human… I certainly wouldn’t want them to think I had something so ordinary as food poisoning.”

We could argue all day about her vocal ability when compared to other pop singers, but her stage presence goes completely unmatched. We haven’t been blessed with a performer like her in quite some time.
