Maria Bello of ER and Flicka fame is getting her own series on HBO. The untitled project will center on Bello, a struggling mother of three teenage boys trying to support her family following the death of her husband. Bello’s character falls into a life of crime and ends up of course involving her family.
Yes, it does sound like Weeds on Showtime but I’m up for the similar storyline as long as it doesn’t involve a hole in a floor. That storyline got old quick for me!
Bello’s HBO project will be executive produced by herself and Gary Lennon, the mind behind the Black Donnelly’s and a few episodes of The Shield. Expect to see the new series sometime this Fall.
