Britney Spears, Madonna and Paul McCartney have already had their music inspired episodes. I am actually shocked there hasn’t been a tribute to the King of Pop yet, but there may be soon! Stars of the hit series gushed about the possibility Sunday, but Adam Shankman won’t give us the full scoop!
An unofficial trailer for the episode that everyone is aching to see surfaced awhile back (which you can see below), and it looks awesome. Rumors have been swirling about the cast doing a Michael Jackson ‘Glee’ episode ever since and they talked about it this weekend.
Sunday, at the Teen Choice Awards, some reporters caught up with several stars of the show, who gave us their thoughts on the show.
Jenna Ushkowitz admitted that the challenge would be “scary,” however “absolutely amazing.”
Matthew Morrison said the show “would be pretty cool” and said that MJ is “probably the best and most iconic performer in the history of music.”
And Harry Shum, Jr. said, “That’s so awesome, to be able see your childhood dreams … like, ‘Oh I would love to do that,’ [not] just onstage but [also on] this awesome show that gets to showcase these things is great.”
The famed choreographer of “So You Think You Can Dance,” Adam Shankman is said to be working on an episode of the show, but won’t tell us which one. Now if any particular one needed great choreography, it would be the one with songs like “Thriller” and “Beat It.” But, Shankman said backstage after SYTYCD:
“I can’t say [which episode I’ll be directing, but it’s not the thing everybody thinks it is.”
