Miley Cyrusâ Marie Claire interview for the March 2011 edition delves into a topic that shocked even her biggest criticsâa video taped bong hit that surfaced back in December. Find out what she had to say about the incident here.
Finally the former Disney star seems ready to talk about the now infamous clip of her chocking down an epic hit from a water pipeâof salvia, of course. I suppose it took an interview opportunity with the mag to clear the air.
About the incident, she admits that she is ânot perfectâ and that she âdisappointed her fans.â
But it would be her answer to the next question that revealed just how humbling the scandal was for her. When asked if she regrets doing it, even though smoking salvia has become especially popular among people her age, she implied that her status as a ârole modelâ separates her from the norm, and that ââŚit was a bad decisionâŚbecause of what I stand for.â
Wow. A young celebrity with a sense of personal responsibility. She may avoid becoming the next Lilo after all.
