Paula Patton
32-year-old singer and song writer, Robin Thicke, performed his hit song “Lost Without you” on The Oprah Show today. The snazzy tune is most likely written about his wife Paula Patton, who he had met at age 14, and dated through high school. Paula, an actress, has appeared in several films including: Mirrors, Push, and Swing Vote.
Patton graduated from Hamilton Magnet Art High School, before enrolling herself at UC Berkeley. She later transferred to USC Film School, where she graduated magna cum laude. Soon after college she won a 3-month assignment creating documentaries for PBS, and later landed a job as a producer of the Discovery Channel show, Medical Diaries.
Her debut acting role was 2005’s Hitch, acting alongside superstars Will Smith and Eva Mendes. She then went on to have a small role in the drama, London.
Patton posed nude for her husband’s, A Beautiful World, album’s artwork. Patton and Thicke, wed in Santa Barbara, California on June 11, 2005. She is the Daughter in Law of actor Alan Thicke and actress Gloria Loring.
One of Patton’s career highlights is appearing alongside the music group Outkast in Idlewild. In 2006, she assumed the role of leading lady for the film Déjà vu, which starred Denzel Washington and Val Kilmer.
Recently she has appeared in the films Mirrors, and This Wednesday.
