Roger Avary has been arrested for manslaughter and driving under the influence. His friend Andreas Zini who was in the car as well as Avary’s wife Gretchen got killed in the fatal crash, according to the police. The collision happened in Ojai, California around midnight. Zedini, a 34-year-old native of Italy, was visiting the couple and died of his injuries at a local hospital after he was cut from the car. Avary’s wife, Gretchen, 40, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being thrown from the car. Sources report she is in a stable condition.
He was released from jail after posting $50,000 bail, according to the Sherriff’s Department, Roger Avary won an Academy Award with Quentin Tarantino for writing Pulp Fiction, he co-wrote and was the executive producer of last year’s battlefield epic “Beowulf.”
