For those of you out there who are fans of the hit show, “Smallville”, you’ll be very happy to know that the show will be returning for its 10th season on The CW!

You can expect to see the show returning for the next season in the fall. Continue for more information!

Though it’s pretty exciting to hear that audiences will get to see more of “Smallville”, there is a possibility that not all of the cast members will return for season 10. Though it has been said that the show’s main hunk, Tom Welling, will definitely be coming back for more action.

Allison Mack, who plays Chloe Sullivan in the show, had mentioned last year that a 10th season was on its way, however, it has just now become official.

Last year, she said:

“Tom has signed for season 9 and for a season 10, so the show will go until season 10. I will be completed with my contract next year, and I am looking for new and exciting ways to carry out my character’s exit.”

It’s no wonder that the show is coming back for another season. It has been doing wonders for The CW’s ratings. After moving to its Friday time slot, “Smallville” has improved ratings for that night by 74 percent. Amazing.

Other shows to be renewed by The CW are “The Vampire Diaries”, “America’s Next Top Model”, “90210”, “Gossip Girl” and “Supernatural.” However there are a few shows that have been left hanging. There has been no confirmation on either a renewal or cancellation for the shows “Melrose Place”, “One Tree Hill” and “Life Unexpected.”

You can catch “Smallville” this fall on The CW, Friday nights at 8/7c. Tune in after the show returns from hiatus on April 2nd, 2010. For now, you can take a look at the preview for the next episode below.
