By now everyone knows that this season should be a wild one: the show is actually going forward without Simon. For some viewers that’s a huge sigh of relief, but many others are left wondering whether or not it can be a success without him. In his place will be Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler–what a combo, eh?
So when is the American Idol (2011) premiere? The show starts Wednesday, January 19th at 8/7c. As usual, the first few weeks will feature back-to-back episodes, airing on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Until then, we’ll watch as hopefuls from a slew of different cities give it their all in the hopes of not being humiliated, and maybe even moving on to the next round. This time around, auditions will take place in Nashville, Milwaukee, New Orleans, East Rutherford, Austin, San Francisco, and and Los Angeles.
After the audition phase the real fun will begin. Don’t forget to bookmark this page, and visit us for your weekly episodes. Also, as soon as Ellen joins the crew we’ll be here to live-blog all of the action along with you. Care for a spoiler? Click here.
